Connect chords, rhythm, and listening
Choose a short chord change or melody before working through a demonstration. First find the notes or chord shapes, then add a steady pulse. Listen for clean beginnings and endings as well as the notes themselves.
If a change interrupts the beat, isolate the movement between those two shapes. Ask your teacher to check your fingering before trying to make the change faster.
