Live, one-on-one online instruction
Online Music Lessons
One-on-one music lessons from home. Work with a teacher online and keep building skills wherever you learn best.
World-Class Lessons, No Commute
Not everyone can make it to our studios in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, or North Port, and that is exactly why we built our online program. Every online lesson is live, private, and taught by the same faculty who teach in our physical locations.
Whether you are a busy professional fitting practice between meetings, a homeschool family looking for flexible scheduling, or a student located outside of Sarasota County, our online lessons bring the full Elizabeth Farrell Music experience directly to your screen.
We teach piano, guitar, voice, violin, ukulele, songwriting, and music theory online. Lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60-minute formats with the same rates as our in-person programs.

Online Lesson FAQs
What do I need for online music lessons?
You need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or phone), and your instrument. We recommend positioning the camera so your instructor can see your hands and posture clearly.
Are online music lessons as effective as in-person?
Yes. Online lessons are highly effective for most students. Our instructors are trained in virtual teaching techniques and use screen sharing, slow-motion playback, and real-time feedback to deliver the same quality instruction as in-person sessions.
Which instruments can I learn online?
We offer online lessons for piano, guitar, voice, violin, ukulele, songwriting, and music theory. Some instruments like drums and cello may have limited online availability depending on instructor schedules.
What platforms do you use for online lessons?
Our instructors use Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Meet depending on your preference. We will help you get set up before your first lesson if needed.
Can children take online music lessons?
Readiness varies by student and instrument. Tell us your child’s age, experience, and interests so we can discuss a suitable starting point and teacher.
