Cello Lessons
Explore the cello with one-on-one guidance for beginners and returning players. Build tone, technique, and confidence at your pace.
Discover the Cello
The cello produces one of the richest, most expressive sounds of any instrument. Our cello program helps students unlock that potential through careful, structured instruction from experienced string professionals.
From the first time you draw a bow across the strings to performing Bach Suites, our instructors guide every step of the journey. We focus on tone production, proper posture and bow technique, music reading, and developing an expressive, confident sound.
Our cello students range from young beginners to adult learners and advanced players preparing for youth orchestra auditions or college-level programs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age can a child start cello lessons?
Readiness varies by student and instrument. Tell us your child’s age, experience, and interests so we can discuss a suitable starting point and teacher.
How much do cello lessons cost in Sarasota?
Published lesson rates are $35 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, and $65 for 60 minutes. Tuition depends on the number of scheduled lessons. See rates, packages, and cancellation policies for the full terms.
Is cello harder to learn than violin?
Both instruments have unique challenges. The cello's larger size can actually make it easier for beginners to find notes and produce a warm tone. Your instructor will guide you through the learning curve.

Yes. Adult cello students are welcome at any level, from complete beginners to returning players looking to refresh their skills.
Can cello students participate in recitals?
