Barre Chords – Intermediate Guitar

A barre chord involves using the index finger to fret all six strings (to barre) and then using the other fingers to form a chord. Therefore no open strings are used. The barre works like a movable nut. All chords can be played as barre chords.

Once you’ve mastered barre chords you’ll be able to play almost any song you’d like. This is a skill you’ll be using for the rest of your guitar-playing life!

Watch the videos in this course to get a sound understanding of barre chords and to learn different forms.
