Would you run a race before stretching your legs? The answer should be NO! If you don’t warm up or stretch, you could hurt yourself. You need to get your muscles ready before physical activity, just like you need to warm up your vocal cords before you sing in order to prevent injury.
Warming up is essential for singers, but can be hard to do on your own, especially if you can’t play piano, or don’t have one handy.
