Tina Marie Pearce holds her Bachelors in Music Education from Syracuse University and studied both performance and theory at L’ecole Hindemith in Blonay Switzerland.
Tina began her love of music by begging her parents for piano lessons at the age of 8. She attended the Hochstein School of Music, affiliated with the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York for 10 years studying piano, theory and dance. From 10 years old and into college she participated in drum and bugle corps, marching band, orchestra and chorus playing percussion, trumpet and flute.
Now Tina has been successfully teaching music for over 25 years. Her positions have included classroom music teacher at the international School of Geneva, Switzerland and she she has taught private lessons in the United States, The Netherlands, Switzerland and France. In addition to instruction she has served as adjudicator for events and for the French Conservatory System.
While in Europe, Tina was the European Developer for the popular young children’s music program: Kindermusik. She held pedagogical seminars and was key in aiding other teachers to get licensed and to create successful programs and studios throughout Europe.
She is dedicated to the higher development and progression of music for children and adults alike through fun, enjoyable and motivating lessons. Throughout the years she has prepared numerous students for graded exams in ear training, piano and flute for the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music out of London, England. Her students have passed with the honors of distinction and merit.
Tina also is an accomplished accompanist and speaks English, French and Dutch.
