Jeff Merkel and The Physics of Music and Sound

Jeff Merkel is a mastering engineer of 12 years and an instructor at the University of Colorado Denver in both Physics and in Recording Arts. This is a demonstration-based, non-mathematical discussion of acoustics and how they relate to the modern listening room. Getting the most out of high-performance systems directly stems from an understanding of some of the fundamental sciences. The talk is geared toward everyone from the novice to the most technically savvy audiophile.
