Shawna Augello is a longtime former Rock Box student-turned-teacher. At the age of 9, Shawna started playing guitar (the same year she met and shared the stage with Rock Box founder Angel Bartolotta).  In school she started playing clarinet in the band programs, as well as singing in theatre, choir and also playing guitar in both orchestra and the jazz ensembles.  Shawna has performed at many events throughout North Port and Punta Gorda areas.  In addtion, Shawna playslead guitar in the rock band, The New Originals (TNO), comprised of her musical family (her father and younger sister).  Shawna draws her inspiration from many different artists from Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Creedence Clearwater Revival to more recent artists such as Taylor Swift and Niall Horan. Shawna’s ultimate goal as a teacher is to share the joy that can be found when making music with others.
