Kevin Wallace

Kevin Wallace

Guitar, Bass

From a very young age, Kevin Wallace’s life has been infused with music. Singing came before playing, and soon after, he began exploring instruments that would shape his musical identity. His early encounters ignited a passion that would lead him to the six-string guitar by age 7 and later transition to finger-picking classical guitar. His ever-curious nature and diverse influences, ranging from Nirvana and Neil Young to Sublime and Rage Against the Machine, have continuously shaped his approach and style.

Kevin’s professional musical adventures have been as dynamic as they are diverse. His first band, Noise, began almost serendipitously when longtime friends gathered at his home with the idea of starting a project. Influenced by the raw energy of Nirvana and the eclectic tastes of his circle, Noise paved the way for more ambitious ventures. Later, he co-founded Mag Ops—a fusion of punk and metal that captured the rebellious spirit of youth. Kevin’s exploration didn’t stop there: he joined the metal band Lethal Blend, characterized by its heavy, Iron Maiden–inspired sound and distinctive falsetto vocals from its lead singer, before advancing into the musically challenging realm of Progressive Chemistry. This project pushed the boundaries of genre by blending elements of progressive metal with unexpected breakdowns and nuanced, heavy ballads, drawing inspiration from bands like System of a Down, Korn, Slayer, Megadeth, and Slipknot. Kevin’s ability to push creative boundaries continued when he collaborated on recordings with Team Cybergeist. He laid down bass tracks for standout songs such as “Human Nature” on the album How to Destroy Something Beautiful and “Sucker” on The Other Side of Fate. These projects brought together a vibrant mix of talents—among them Angel Bartolotta, Spider Z Prime, Jason Schmidt, Kiochi Fukuda, and Lizette Von Panajott—many of whom have roots in notable bands and celebrated projects.

A transformative moment in Kevin’s journey came with his first encounter with crystal singing bowls. The profound physical and emotional resonance of the sounds, combined with scientific studies on frequency and healing, opened a new path in his musical career. Moved by a deep desire to serve and heal, he embarked on a rigorous certification process with Life Changing Energy. In September 2022, he began his Sound Healer Level 1: Fundamentals Certification, later completing the Level 2 Certification focusing on Singing Bowls and Tuning Forks, and is currently pursuing the Expert Level.

Beyond performance and therapy, Kevin has dedicated nearly 30 years to teaching music, both informally among friends and more formally as a professional educator at The Rock Box Music School & Stage. His teaching method is rooted in building strong musical foundations for ultimate student success.
