Angela Wynn
Angela Wynn
Piano, Violin
Angela Wynn is a Sarasota native who grew up on Siesta Key. She began playing piano at age 6, added violin at 8 years old and viola at 10. Growing up she participated heavily in music. She was concert mistress of her Pine View orchestra as well as the Sarasota Youth Orchestra, active in a quartet, and performed at various nursing homes and public venues across Sarasota County. She would participate in All-State events frequently, earning superiors each time in performance, written and aural categories.
Angela went to college first at SCF and finished her education at the University of South Florida where she earned her bachelors in Music Education. There, she was involved in many performances including the school Orchestras and accompanied for many of her peers for their graduation pieces. After college Angela also taught herself guitar, and began performing frequently at weddings, on both violin and piano. While she was living in Costa Rica, she would also play guitar around town at various venues, sitting in with other artists.
Upon her return to Florida, she started her own business teaching Music Together classes for children ages 0-5. Being so passionate about child psychology and the crucial part that music plays in child development it was an obvious choice. Her interest and experience makes her not only a young child specialist, but an excellent choice for older students and adults alike.
A true life long learner, Angela continues to learn and expand her skills in music and teaching beyond her formal education every day. She’s taught herself a little banjo, is currently learning mandolin and baritone ukulele, all while looking forward to her next passion project of learning cello! Angela recently had her second daughter and is looking forward to bringing music into her life as well as the lives of others in our community!
